Senator John McCain Diagnosed with Brain Cancer

Senator John McCain has been diagnosed with brain cancer. It was discovered during his surgery to remove blood clot from above his left eye.

Mr. McCain is a Vietnam veteran and as a war prisoner, he spent more than five years at prison.

According to his doctor’s information, Mr. McCain is recovering ‘amazingly well’. He is now recovering at home in Arizona.

Senator’s daughter Meghan McCain said in a statement, ” The news of my father’s illness has affected everyone of us in the McCain family… It won’t surprise you to learn that in all this, the one of us who is most confident and calm, is my father… My love for my father is boundless and like any daughter I cannot and do not wish to be in world without him.”

Former U.S. President Barack Obama said in a tweet, “John McCain is an American hero & one of the bravest fighters I’ve ever known. Cancer doesn’t know what it’s up against. Give it hell, John.”

Mr. McCain is a six term Senator. He has been the Republican Presidential candidate in 2008. In last Friday, he underwent a surgery at a clinic in Phoenix.
