Trump’s Approval Dropped to 36%

A new Washington Post-ABC News poll shows that President Trump’s footing with American people has dropped since the last spring. The perceptions of an unpopular healthcare bill, declining U.S. world leadership etc. have contributed to this decline of President Trump’s standing with the American people.

Trump’s overall rating as a President has dropped from 42 to 36 percent as he approaches six months in office. His disapproval rating has mounted 5 points to 58 since the last spring.

Overall 48 percent verdict that they strongly disapprove of President Trump’s performance in office. Former President Obama and Clinton never reached this level whilst President W. Bush reached only when he was serving his second term.

48 percent believes that U.S. leadership in the world has weakened ever since Mr. Trump took the office. 27 percent people, on the other hand, believe that U.S. leadership in the world has been stronger ever since he took the office.

The poll shows that 43 percent people approve the way President Trump handles the economy and 41 percent disapprove.  55 percent say that Mr. Trump is not making significant progress toward his goals as president while 38% say, he is doing fine.

17 percent people say that President Trump is doing much better than the previous presidents, on the contrary, 38 percent say that he is doing much worse than the previous presidents and 50 percent say that he is doing  ‘net’ worse than the previous presidents.

48 percent believes that U.S. leadership in the world has weakened ever since Mr. Trump took the office. 27 percent people, on the other hand, believe that U.S. leadership in the world has been stronger ever since he took the office.

52 percent people say Democratic party stands for nothing but against Trump while 37 percent say that they stand for something.

Being asked if they believe President Trump as a deal maker, 66 percent say that they do not believe that Mr. Trump is a good deal maker while 34 percent believe that he is a good deal maker.

50 percent of the people, being asked on healthcare issue which has been of heated dispute, say that they prefer Obamacare  and only 24 percent verdict in favor of the proposed Trumpcare.

33 percent of the people participated on the poll say that they think of themselves as Democrats while 26 percent say they are Republican. 34 percent say that they are independent.  This poll was conducted on July 10-13 however.
