Second Trump-Putin Meeting was Undisclosed: Trump’s Under Fierce Criticism

President Trump met his Russian counterpart twice at G20 in Germany. Previously undisclosed meeting which was came to media was confirmed by the White House. CNN talked with a senior White House official who confirmed that the meeting lasted around an hour.

This meeting happened during the dinner of heads of state at the G20 summit. It was a private dinner for the head of the states where Mr. Putin was attended by his official interpreter and Mr. Trump was alone.

White House provided the only version of what happened told by Mr. Trump himself. Because of the absence of any other US aides only source for U.S. to know what was discussed is President Trump.

A White House official said, “There was no ‘second meeting’ between President Trump and President Putin, just a brief conversation at the end of a dinner… The insinuation that the White House has tried to ‘hide’ a second meeting is false, malicious and absurd.”

With already deepened abyss Trump standing with the American people, this lately undisclosed meeting warns that Trump’s presidency is teetering at the brisk of disaster.

“It is not merely perfectly normal, it is part of a president’s duties, to interact with world leaders,” the White House said. “Throughout the G20 and in all his other foreign engagements, President Trump has demonstrated American leadership by representing our interests and values on the world stage.”

President Trump reacted to media report of his second meeting with Putin accusing the media of being ‘fake’.

In two consecutive tweets, Mr. Trump said, “Fake News story of secret dinner with Putin is ‘sick.’ All G 20 leaders, and spouses, were invited by the Chancellor of Germany. Press knew! The Fake News is becoming more and more dishonest! Even a dinner arranged for top 20 leaders in Germany is made to look sinister!”

This newly undisclosed meeting between Trump-Putin could get the US President in more crisis at home. The allegations of Russian meddling in US election put him in a complicated situation ever since he began his days as the President.

An unpopular healthcare bill he proposed recently has failed in the US Congress as some Republican Senators voted against the bill. The abrupt halt to repeal Obamacare has added to the lists of Trump’s failure in making progress to his goals.

Recently, a new Washington Post-ABC News poll shows that President Trump’s footing with American people has dropped from 42 to 36 percent since the last spring. The perceptions of an unpopular healthcare bill, declining U.S. world leadership etc. have contributed to this decline of President Trump’s standing with the American people.

With already deepened abyss Trump standing with the American people, this lately undisclosed meeting warns that Trump’s presidency is teetering at the brisk of disaster.
